Post Easter Jwoc Training Camp
Hello Everyone!
On Monday of last week the recently selected Jwoc team headed off to Canberra for the Post-Easter Jwoc training camp.On the first day we were all pretty excited about what we were going to do and learn at the camp until we heard we had to do another 3km time trial…But we got over that when we learned that we were going to be running on the AIS track. We also had the opportunity that day to use the AIS Spa and Plunge pool (which was freezing). Later that evening we headed off to Dave Shepherd’s house to do some night orienteering. The night orienteering was very tricky but was heaps of fun. It also taught us about how to train for the low visibility maps inSweden . The rest of that week including training in felled areas to get use to the tough thick terrain in Sweden and running coaching by the Lex Anderson from ACTAS. We also had time to discuss team uniforms, flights and training.
